Curbside Garbage and Trash Pickup
Residential Garbage Collection:
All residential customers shall use a city issued 95-gallon automated collection container.
Residential customers may select multiple, up to three, automated collection containers (each container is an additional $10/monthly charge with any additional taxes).
If the container is stored outside, it shall be kept so as to protect the container and its contents from animals. Garbage placed in the container shall be bagged and tied to prevent blowing during collection. Loose garbage placed in the container will not be allowed and violators may be penalized.
Trash totes need to be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. They should be placed at the back of the curb, a three-foot minimum of clearance from each other, and all other obstructions. Failure to do so may result in your residence being by-passed for collection. Please refer to the City calendar for any variations of pick-up date due to holidays.
Residents are responsible for picking up garbage from their tipped containers.
Utility Billing Options
Monthly Billing
Utility bills are processed by the 25th of each month, and you can choose between a mailed paper bill or digital delivery for faster, more convenient access.
Automatic Payments (ACH)
Enroll in automatic payments by printing and completing our ACH Authorization Form and returning it to the City office. Once processed, your monthly utility bill will be withdrawn from your checking account on the 20th of each month, or on the next business day if the 20th falls on a weekend or holiday—keeping your payments automatic, on‑time, and completely hands‑off.
Paperless Billing
Enroll in paperless billing by completing our Paperless Billing form. Your monthly utility bill will be delivered directly to your email, giving you faster access to your statements while reducing paper waste and lowering the City’s postage costs.
Sewer and Garbage Paperless Billing
Vacation Rate
If you leave for the winter, we offer a discounted Vacation Rate for seasonal absences. To request this rate, complete our Vacation Rate form so we can update your account and adjust your monthly billing during the time you’re away.
Security Deposits
Per City Ordinance 30, Article IV, Section 30.01.440(C)- Services will not be initiated until the deposit requirement is paid in full, based on the type of service required.
• Residential Owner Accounts- $50.00
• Residential Rental Tenant Accounts- $100.00
• Commercial Accounts- $100.00
Billing and Late Fees
The sewer use and solid waste disposal billing shall be monthly and shall be based on the current rate as set forth by the City Commission. Per City Ordinance 30, Article IV, Section 30.01.450, the City shall assess a fifteen-dollar ($15.00) penalty for payments received after the 20th of each month. Overdue accounts are subject to solid waste disposal services being discontinued until the account is brought current. During the time of the disconnection the full fee will still continue to be billed.

Per City Ordinance 30, Article IV, Section 30.01.440(A), all wastewater and industrial waste discharged to the wastewater facilities shall be paid by the tenant or owner of the premises served, according to the following schedule:
