Position Overview:

The City of Summerset Public Works Department is seeking a motivated, dependable individual to join our Street Division as Seasonal Public Works Employee. This position supports essential maintenance and improvement projects that keep our community safe, clean, and functioning smoothly throughout the busy season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with street maintenance, shop and mechanical repair
• Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and debris removal
• Operate light equipment and tools (training provided)
• Assist other departments as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of public spaces, facilities, and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Work Schedule:

• Seasonal position running from approximately [03/01/2026] to [08/25,2026]
• Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
